Dr. Amira Abou-Hamdan received her PhD in Physical and Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Adelaide, Australia. Subsequently, she joined the University of Lausanne Chemistry Department (now the EPFL) in Switzerland, to carry out her postdoctoral research on high pressure novel approaches for elucidating reaction mechanisms in coordination chemistry. She then held the position of Lecturer in Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry.
She joined the automation industry in 1999, where she held Product Development, Product Management and Business roles. She joined Chemspeed Technologies in 2004 and contributed to the implementations of numerous innovative solutions in the automation and the digitalization of R&D across the Chemical Industry and academia. She currently holds the position of VP Materials Science.
