APPLICATION GUIDELINES

  1. The GPCA Innovation Competition includes two categories under chemical engineering, chemistry, and other related STEM fields in the GCC. The first category represents undergraduate students who are currently in their final year of studies or have graduated no earlier than 31 May 2021. The second category is for the postgraduate students who are currently completing their M.Sc. or Ph.D. degree or have recently graduated no earlier than 31 May 2021.
  2. Award entries and material submitted must be written in English and submitted digitally through the website.
  3. Entry for the awards is free of charge.
  4. There is no restriction on the number of entries the university or organization may make.
  5. Deadline for the submission of entries for this competition will be on 1 September 2022.
  6. Additional supporting materials should be provided (samples, documents, videos, or other materials that will help the Jury evaluate your entry)
  7. The decision of the jury is final and irrevocable and will be awarded on 26 September 2022
  8. Only the shortlisted entries will be announced and invited to attend the 7th GPCA Research and Innovation Conference.
  9. For the ten finalists, we can offer two nights of hotel accommodation and flight tickets for a team of 2 (one researcher and one supervisor) if needed.
  10. All shortlisted entries must prepare a poster or presentation which will be showcased at the exhibition area during the 7th GPCA Research and Innovation Conference – 26-27 September 2022 at the Address Sky View Hotel, Dubai, UAE

Shortlisted projects must be set up for display on 26-27 September 2022, and the finalists will present elevator pitches on 26 September 2022
